The APC chieftain and member of its National Board of Trustees,Prince BB Apugo, yesterday donated palliatives worth millions of naira to his community explaining that since the lockdown order by the state government induced by the Corona Virus , some of his villagers especially the downtrodden find it difficult to feed their families.
Prince Apugo who was represented by his son, Hon. Martin Apugo, the APC standard bearer in the last Federal House of Representatives elections in 2019, Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency added that the gesture was also meant to mitigate the effects of the lockdown in the community .
Prince Apugo further reminded his people that the Pandemic has claimed thousand of lives in different countries and ,therefore, advised the people to obey the government directive of stay at home to avert the Pandemic from entering the state.
Mr Kelechukwu who was among the beneficiaries applauded Prince BB Apugo for reaching out to them in a time of this lockdown and ,therefore, described Apugo as a true leader who understands the plight of his constituents
