Abia Deputy Speaker, Majority Leader Escapes Removal of Its Duties As Speaker Adjournes Plenary Sine Die.
The Abia State House of Assembly on Tuesday nearly relief the duties of the Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu member representing Ohafia South State Constituency and the Majority Leader, Hon. Solomon Akpulonu representing Obingwa State Constituency.
This was followed in a matter if urgent public importance raised by the Deputy Majority Leader Hon.Paul Taribo member representing Ukwa East State Constituency.
The motion was seconded by Hon. Chukwu Chijioke, representing Bende South State Constituency and support by the former Speaker Rt. Hon. Chikwendu Kalu and Hon. Obinna Ichita among others.
The Deputy Majority Leader , Paul Taribo in his motion said the move was as a result of non performance of duties creditable which therefore called for the immediate removal of their Duties.
Member representing Umunneochi State Constituency Hon. Okey Igwe moved that the house be adjourned for the matter to be entertained at the executive session.
The Speaker after heated argument by members at the floor of the house adjourned plenary indefinitely.
