National member, Board of Trustees of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Prince BB Apugo, has scoffed at the existence of Isolation Centres in the state by rhetorically asking, where are the Isolation Centres?
The scathing soul-searching quarry came on the heels of his address to newsmen outlining the numerous Covid-19 palliatives he has embarked on with his son, Hon. Martin Apugo.
Prince BB advised Abians to follow the WHO guidelines and NCDC Covid-19 protocols for their own safety adding that Abia State Government does not have any proper plan nor isolation centres to combat Covid-19 in the state.
The BOT member prayed for a curative vaccine for Covid-19 by researchers in Nigeria and Africa and commended the leading role of Madagascar in that regard through herbal medicine.
Ochiagha Ibeku, who had a contrary view on the lockdown relaxation of the federal government describing it as not ideal berated the state government for its lethargy on information sensitization to the rural communities on the Pandemic.
Prince Apugo, then advocated for the extensive use of town criers and other modes of traditional communication adding that in post Covid-19 era, Agriculture remains the way forward and should be taking seriously.
