The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Projects Limited, Michael Ibe Nwoke has called for the development of the grassroots in Abia state to aid even development of the state.
Nwoke in a message to mark Nigeria at 60 said the development of the rural areas will enhance rural-urban development, adding that it is a collective efforts of all.
The Youth advocate who commended Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for his efforts at ensuring that every part of the state receives a facelift called on local government administrators to compliment the efforts of the Governor.
Ibe Nwoke called on youths in Abia to take advantage of the forthcoming Local Government elections in the state to make a statement and ensure that they are evenly represented at the grassroots ro ensure the development of their local governments.
While admitting that the nation is not where she is supposed to be at 60, he reminded Nigerians that only a United entity achieves more.
He called on the leadership of the nation to rise up to their responsibilities of restoring the trust of the people especially the youths on them and noted that the nation can only survive her challenges when the youths are gainfully employed.
Nwoke used the forum to also call on the youths to shun atrocities and all forms of violence which he described as a barrier to the socio-economic development of the nation.
