The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations today opened held its first physical meeting after nearly one year of only virtual and digital contacts and activities. The meeting was held at the pursh home and residence of Chief Ike Onyenweaku, Ph.D
The Chairman of the institute who also functions as the Director- General of Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State (BCA), Sir Anyaso O. Anyaso while thanking every member observed a one minute silence for one of their fallen heroes – Mr Ifeanyi Ekeleme.
Sir Anyaso also thanked the host of the meeting Chief Ike Onyenweaku who obliged the institute his residence for the for opening of the meeting, adding that it is a show of love for the institute.
The Secretary of the Institute, St. Denis Ubani read the last minutes of the meeting which was fully observed, corrected and adopted as a working document.
Sir Anyaso equally urged every member of the Institute to be actively involved by supporting the Institute in order for the body to move it forward,
On members levies and financial commitments, Barr. Sam Ogbonna moved that Abia NIPR should publish the level of indebtedness of members on quarterly basis, arguing that this will be accompanied with the Institute’s Bank Account Number(s). In response the Chairman resolved that two weeks will be given before such publication.
The meeting has in its attendance the former Commissioner for Works, Hon. Elder Eziuche Ubani, Sir Chinkwe Ukaenyi, NIPR Council Member, Sir O.J. Bob Amanze, Chief Ike Onyenweaku, Barr. Sam Ogbonna amongst others.
The meeting was concluded with sumptous entertainment provided by Chief Onyenweaku at the Banquet Hall of Governor Okezie Chibuikem Ikpeazu.
