Two Years in Office: Words Inadequate to Express our Profound Gratitude for Promise Kept- Comrade Ochiobi.
The President General of Ohiya Autonomous Community in Umuahia South Local Government Area, Abia state, Comrade Ochiobi Ikechukwu has described the member representing Umuahia South State Constituency Hon. Bar Jerry Uzosike as a quintessential Achiever whom “words are grossly inadequate to express their profound and extreme gratitude and satisfaction for a promise kept”.
Ochiobi stated this in an address he presented during the occasion of the commissioning of a block of seven (7) classrooms built by Hon. Jerry in fulfilment of his promise during his campaign at Ohiya.
The traditional ruler of Ohiya Autonomous Community, his Royal Highness, Eze Ihuegbu (JP), Ohanyere 1. Of Ohia in appreciation of the kind gesture, described Hon. (Barr.) Uzosike as a sincere and transparent leader, Adding that “the people of Ohia collectively agreed to conferred him a Chieftaincy title as a result of his benevolence and safeless service in the entire Ohuhu Kingdom, especially in Ohiya, therefore conferred on Hon. Uzosike the Chieftancy Title of “OkaOmme nke abuo na Ohiya”.
Uzosike during his visits to three (3) different locations starting from Umuajata in Olokoro where he laid the foundation for a three bedroom bungalow for a widow with the assurance of completing the project within a stipulated time, gave out different gift items to his supporters and Ogechi Care Foundation even as he promised to do more.
At Umuorighe Laguru Ubakala Hon. Jerry Uzosike extended his antecedent in providing potable water and reticulating it for the people to ameliorate their sufferings.
The gift items which includes Deep Freezers, Generator sets, Wrappers, school bags, books among others where distributed to all the areas he visited.
